Sara received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota in 2002. Before joining the Adams and Giddings team, Sara worked in Minneapolis, N for five years gaining experience in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, wound care and acute care. Sara worked in an outpatient sports medicine clinic in Milwaukee, WI for two years before moving to Fort Collins in August 2008.
Sara’s professional expertise is in general orthopedics and sports injuries and she has advanced education with regard to manual therapy, muscle energy techniques, and postural retraining. Sara is ASTYM™ certified and she is certified in Level 1 and Level 2 trigger point dry needling (TDN).
Sara also enjoys working with patients involved in breast cancer rehabilitation through utilization of manual therapy and treatment modalities for desensitizing tissue, improving scar mobility and appearance, and regaining function/mobility of soft tissue and joints following mastectomy, breast reconstruction, and radiation therapy.
Sara stays involved with the local schools through coaching high school track and middle school basketball and volleyball. Her personal interests include outdoor activities including running, cycling, and hiking and she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children being a spectator of soccer, volleyball, and basketball.
